I moved to this beautiful town after a five month period of homelessness wrought by a deeply entrenched housing crisis in my country (Australia). Winter descended, and it is colder than any I have experienced in this country to date. Of course, our weather is changing now, so ‘unusual temperatures and conditions for this time of year’ are the norm now. Yet, there is such beauty in the chill. I feel grateful to be here.
